Each Sunday
morning,
...about 9 am, you will find folks gathered in the
Assembly Hall (Education Building), enjoying lemonade or coffee,
chatting and visiting with one another. At 9:15 am we begin a
short, informal opening session. We make our pledges to our
American and Christian flags, sing a couple of songs, mention any
special praise or prayer needs, announce the upcoming week of
birthdays or anniversaries, followed by singing a Happy Birthday or
Happy Anniversary song. Sunday School follows the end of this
opening exercise.
Open Door Class
9:30 am
This class is for
mostly older people, but visitors of all ages are always welcome.
This class includes an interesting and open study of the Bible,
which follows a short discussion of any class business or prayer
requests within the group. Current
events, religious significance and a strong sense of fellowship bind
the attendees, young and old, in the teachings of Jesus Christ. The
class always ends with the circle prayer, "May the Lord watch
between me and thee, while we are absent, one from the other."
Fellowship Class
9:30 am
This class has a
range of ages from twenties to fifties. This class is a Bible study
with focus on scripture through topical study or passage and verse.
Sources used for study are from contemporary authors, study guides
and the Bible. We use bible study guides to give us more
understanding of the scriptures. Personal relationships develop
through our walk together. Good Fellowship, and you're invited!
